Odin is a very sweet and gentle horse, a bit on the lazy side. Three very nice smooth gaits. He's had lots of training in the 4 years I've had him. But he really doesn't want to be a dressage horse and he’s a little slow.
We’ve been using him as an English lesson horse, and this isn’t his thing either. Having multiple riders, especially beginners, frustrates him and he shuts down.
He really needs his own person. He loves being doted on, groomed and snuggled with. He doesn't need an expert rider, just not an absolute beginner. Someone to give him clear direction.
He has enjoyed playing around with barrels and poles, but he isn’t fast. He is definitely not a jumper. He has some trail time. He's been shown in rail shows, with modest success. We
showed him English, really really he’d prefer Western.
Excellent ground manners, and loads and trailers with no issues.
