Justa Legacy aka Pearl, our 2013 chestnut, multi-national champion Arabian, is a flashy looker and mover. She already won a national title in halter, and has national and regional wins in training and first level dressage, show hack, and sport horse under saddle with an amateur and junior exhibitor. She has schooled up to 2nd level Dressage. - 14.2 hands - Sire: Alibi FF, World Cup Champion - Dam: Porcia, Reserve National Champion She is an expert at lateral work in hand, under saddle, and at liberty. Her trot is floaty, her canter is smooooth. Even though she is fancy through and through, she’ll happily go out on a trail ride with a buddy on a long rein. Zero spook, zero rush. She has spent the last year with us teaching our youngest riders and our most advanced riders, and capturing our hearts. But let’s also be honest about why Pearl isn’t the right fit for us as a small lesson barn: Pearl is a sensitive, reactive horse who does not yet know how to down regulate herself on the ground. If you come at her suddenly or with emotion (including fear/anxiety), she will come back bigger. She has the capability and will to both bite and kick. She is a horse you must be 100% aware of. Therefore, she would do best with one consistent, skilled adult who is capable of down regulating a horse, and setting consistent, clear, non-emotional boundaries. Once Pearl has trust that you will both listen to her calmly and set boundaries when needed, she is one of the cutest, sweetest, most rewarding horses! Other things to know for her new home: - Pearl short steps on her back right when she is out of shape or not engaging herself. She is not lame. Her stifles are in great shape. She does not have an injury or fracture. We are happy to send both X-rays and ultrasounds. - Pearl can do poles but would not enjoy an over-fences job. - Pearl must be blanketed in the winter. The cold causes her muscle stiffness and soreness. We blanket her below 40 degrees and she’s super happy with that. - She must have access to 24/7 forage. She has been an ulcer risk in the past. She is currently on outdoor board and loves it. We want Pearl to go to a perfect fit home. We’ve never sold one of our horses before- and we are open books about her time with us. Please reach out for videos or with questions! Asking $12,000 but willing to negotiate for the right home. Located in Ada, MI.
