Scarlet Grade 14 yo 15 hh Diet: Low sugar orchard in hay nets 24/7, 1 LB Triple Crown Balancer Gold. Scarlet is a sweet mare looking for her forever partner. She has an old scar on her hind that doesn’t bother her or have heat/swelling. I have spent time getting her in shape, and working her through her anxiety. She needs an intermediate and up level of rider. She is not suitable as a first horse, or for a beginner. She is not finished in any discipline. I do think she could do some gaming but I think she should not only game. I do think she has OHSET potential for someone. Pros: ☑️ She’s very sweet ☑️ She can stand hard tied (she will paw) ☑️ She can ride WTC (working on getting her back in shape for cantering) in a snaffle ☑️ More go than woah ☑️ Up to date on deworming, vaccinations, and dental. ☑️ Currently barefoot, but I would recommend boots or shoes on rocky terrain. ☑️ Can be turned out with other horses Cons: ☑️ Occasionally will play games about being caught in a big space, but that is rarer these days. ☑️ Can get herd bound, but has improved. ☑️ Can be squealy/kicky with new horses but usually calms down within a short period. ☑️ Can be slow to get on the trailer, but always gets in if you are patient and not pushy. ☑️ Did kick me once during a trim (I was the trimmer). Not a regular habit but I’m honest. Can be a little dance-y but usually a mild correction and she settles. ☑️ Has reared with a rider when her saddle was too wide. I bought a SQHB circle y and it made an immediate improvement. ☑️ She is harder to saddle fit. Will vet all homes thoroughly as this mare deserves a good home, not looking for someone who is looking to resell. We are not in a rush to find a new place for her. PPE welcome at buyers expense. Junction city Oregon. Delivery may be able to be arranged.
