Meet Indy! She is an anatomically correct 21 year old mare. We got her as a rescue about 2 years ago and she has done nothing but build her confidence and trust in people. She is very capable and fully sound, with no arthritis that we know of. She loves to move and has a lovely W/T/C. She is currently being used as a trail horse, does riding lessons for confident teens, and is a therapy horse. She does well with other horses and has lived in a herd and alone. She’s easy to saddle, easy to load, and is very communicative. She would do well with a confident handler who can reassure her when she is nervous, or to be firm with her when she is being stubborn. She really appreciates good authority. Her main rider just turned 16, and has been riding her for over a year. However, she would thrive with an older teen or adult. I guess I would say if you give her an inch she’ll take a mile, so she needs someone who will keep her accountable! Overall she is a fast learner and very smart.
She is up-to-date on trimming (does great barefoot), and worming. I believe she’s up-to-date on dentistry and chiropractor work. She has no medical issues and isn't on any supplements. PPE welcome at buyers expense.
