Meet Monty!
6-year-old AQHA bay roan gelding that stands a 15.1. Monty is a strong and good-looking grandson of the AQHA superhorse Rugged Lark. His training makes him well suited for trail riding or play-day ranch shows with someone who wants a fun horse to enjoy. He is straightforward and easy to ride with walk trot and canter cues all built in. He rides on a loose rein and my single digit age kids love riding him, (with adult supervision) but he is not a deadhead. No buck, rear, or vices, but a short lunge session does really help get him mentally ready to work. Monty works off leg pressure, neck reins, pivots, sidepasses, rides alone, is good with gunshots and whip cracking, roping, tarps, trail obstacles, lays down as a trick, stands on a pedestal. He does very well on the trail and rides alone. He will ride alongside the road, cross water, ride the pastures to check fence, work a gate or go through the woods. He trailers, stands for farrier, and is used to standing tied. He is totally sound barefoot with no maintenance required. UTD on farrier and vaccinations.
