Sensitive, Rideable, and Exceptionally Rewarding to Develop
Tulip is an elegant mare who combines sensitivity, intelligence, and rideability in a way that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. I have had her since she was three, and watching her develop into the horse she is today has been incredibly rewarding. She is exceptionally responsive and light in the bridle, naturally forward from the aids, and happiest when ridden with feel rather than strength.
Under saddle, Tulip is incredibly comfortable to sit and naturally talented in the lateral work. She has successfully shown through Second Level and continues to gain strength and balance as she develops further in her training. Third Level is well within reach, and she has the quality, work ethic, and rideability to continue progressing as her strength catches up with her talent.
Tulip is also remarkably thoughtful in her mindset. She is curious, calm, and confident without being dull or shut down. She is not a spooky horse, and when something unfamiliar catches her attention, she prefers to take a moment to process and understand it rather than react emotionally. That honesty and willingness to think through situations makes her feel very trustworthy and genuine in her partnership with the rider.
She is the type of horse that makes dressage feel enjoyable — responsive without tension, expressive without being difficult, and sensitive without becoming overwhelming. Tulip has a very special feel under saddle and offers the kind of quality and partnership that many riders spend years searching for.
