Brave, Athletic, and Exceptionally Enjoyable Outside the Arena
Eddie is a striking gelding with the kind of presence that naturally turns heads, but what makes him especially enjoyable is his mindset. He is confident, relaxed, and incredibly steady outside the arena, with fox hunting experience that has given him a very practical, forward-thinking attitude. On the trail, he is the type of horse that quietly goes about his job, happily walking through water, navigating new terrain, and staying relaxed in unfamiliar situations. He has proven to be safe and enjoyable for a wide range of riders outside the arena.
Eddie is also a very talented jumper with a natural feel for the fences and the kind of bravery and athleticism that make him especially exciting as an event prospect. He is currently schooling Beginner Novice/Novice show jumping and First Level dressage. While he has not yet been schooled cross country, he already shows the mindset and confidence you want for the job and genuinely enjoys water out on the trails. Videos on his playlist include his first off-property jump school as well as his first time schooling 3-foot fences.
He enjoys having a job and approaches new questions with willingness and confidence rather than tension or hesitation, making him an especially appealing prospect for a young rider looking to move up the levels.
On the flat, Eddie is continuing to develop his dressage foundation and balance, and that work is already supporting his rideability and overall way of going. He is naturally forward without being overwhelming and has an enjoyable, connected feel under saddle.
One of Eddie’s most endearing qualities is his personality. He is incredibly sweet and people-oriented — the kind of horse who walks right up to you in the pasture or greets you at the stall door ready for attention. He genuinely enjoys interaction and work, making him not only fun to ride but also enjoyable to have around every day.
Eddie offers a special combination of athletic ability, confidence, and kindness that is hard to find, particularly in a horse that is equally happy in the arena, over fences, or out on the trail.
