Dixie is a stunning, dapple palomino mare that stands 14.3 hands tall. She is registered in the TWHBEA, foaled 7/28/2015, and is sired by The Diamond Trip by Trip My Trigger by One Gold Moment by Simoleons Snow Flake and out of the mare Lady Carlton by WGC He’s Puttin On The Ritz by A Comand Performance by Pride of Midnight HF. This beautiful girl has an awesome walking horse pedigree packed with several champions! Dixie is an extremely personable, sweet natured mare, that really loves attention. She is gentle, is easy to handle, and easy to catch. Dixie will stand tied, stands for the farrier, grooming, bathing, clipping, and mounting. She also has a slew of tricks to aid in mounting for her rider. She will side pass to various obstacles, she will park out, or she will even lay down for mounting and dismounting! Dixie will walk off relaxed on a loose rein, will ride collected and has a beautiful headshaking, rhythmic walk and running walk, and will canter. She will pick up her leads and lope circles, has a great stop, and backs nicely. She has an excellent neck rein or will direct rein as well and is even broke well enough to ride without a bridle. Dixie will also ride bareback, double, pack saddle bags, and side pass. Dixie has tons of experience out on the trails, crosses water, down timber, ditches/ravines, and handles the steep terrain well. She really does well watching her foot placement when the trails get rough. She has been trailered to multiple states where she has been on camping trips and trail rides. Out on the trail she doesn’t mind being the lead horse, riding in the middle, or bringing up the rear. She will also ride down the gravel roads and will ride out alone or in a group. She is doing great being used around our ranch checking/fixing fences, moving/pushing cattle, and checking heifers. She is also getting well acclimated to traffic, UTVs, 4 wheelers, and various types of farming machinery. Dixie has been through multiple sessions of desensitization with all kinds of things that could possibly be scary such as balls, tarps, plastic bags, flags, inflatable tube men, leaf blowers, helping her to be as safe as possible for her rider!
