Lucky Boy, AKA Patches is one of 7 horses saved from a kill pen in 2024. Since then, he has been gentled, cared for, fed well, gelded, and worked with continuously. We believe he is now close to 2 1/2 - 3 years old. Lucky is handsome. He has beautiful coat coloring and an long thick tail. He is an easy keeper, up to date on all vaccinations, worming, coggins, and farrier work. He is easy to load and trailer. He is about the middle of the herd in the pecking order.

Lucky has been started under saddle. He stands for mounting and has been mainly ground worked and ridden at the walk and trot. He has completed some desensitizing work well. He does kick out when asked for a canter. But, not much time has been spent correcting or working through it. And, he has only had 1 rider working with him thus far. So, this still may be an easy fix.

We would like for Lucky to find a forever home. And we do request first right of refusal. It is imperative to us, that Lucky not reenter the slaughter horse pipeline.
