Baron is a gentle thick made AQHA 9-year-old gelding that is put together right. Measures just a tick under 15.1+ hands. He has nice big feet to match his beautiful and buff build. Baron is well trained and dependable. He rides great in the ring as well as out on the streets and mountain trails. In the arena Baron has a good one hand neck rein, is soft in the face and collects up well. He has a comfortable jog and lopes out on cue. Takes his leads, backs soft and side passes with ease to operate the gates. He is smooth traveling and is a pleasure to ride and be around. Solid to ride down busy neighborhood streets and is used to fast passing vehicles of every kind as well as all that we encounter out and around our neighborhood. From the mini farm to the neighbor’s dogs running up and barking at us, Baron handles it like the seasoned citizen that he is. Baron is equally solid to ride out in rugged country. He is settled in any position of a group as well as out on his own. Crosses trail obstacles, water crossings and deadfall. He is sure footed and dependable in steep rugged terrain. Baron has been used in Colorado on cattle drives, been at the feedlots sorting and penning cattle. He has been started roping out of the box on the head side and has also done some breakaway roping. This is a home raised gelding that has been in good hands his entire life. Good to tie, tack, shoe, bathe, load and haul. He gets along very nicely turned out with other horses and is a gentleman in the herd. He’s equally content to be in a pen or box stall and will stay gentle with time off.
