At 8 years old, this eye catching APHA solid most likely sooty Palomino mare is ready to be someone’s all around horse for years to come! I hate to use this term, but she really is “husband safe”. My non-horse person husband has enjoyed riding her from time to time. Great all around family horse. Been used for 4H, working ranch, trail riding, ranch versatility and breakaway. Formerly spent time in a feed lot. Carries a flag. Loves the water. Not phased by much. She is on the lazier side. She has had some breakaway training. She is cowy, but can be slower to come out of the box before really trying to get after the cow. Has done great in working ranch, and if you want to track the dummy and practice throwing the rope off her, she’s your gal! I believe she would excel in ranch versatility. Would go great in trail classes. Opens gates, drags. Probably be a great guest ranch horse too. May work as a slower type, just for fun gaming horse, but that type stuff is not her strength. Not going to be real competitive in anything like barrels or poles. Not gaited, but does have a running walk that is ground covering and comfortable to ride. Been my daughter’s horse, but she has changed direction and we need a better suited rodeo horse. Best with at least front shoes. Have had her barefoot and shod all around.
