Eddie is a handsome 16H, 16 yr old OTTB gelding with a big personality and an even bigger heart. After spending most of his life on the racetrack as a true "war horse," he has enjoyed the last three years transitioning into a much more relaxed pleasure-horse lifestyle.

Eddie has a kind, willing attitude and genuinely wants to please his rider. He tends to be more "go" than "whoa," making him best suited for a confident, more experienced rider, but once settled he is a fun, responsive ride. He is still on the greener side and needs someone willing to put the time and effort into making him a really nice horse. In recent months, he has been lightly started over fences and seems to really enjoy it.

He is the type of horse who is game to try new things. Eddie has enjoyed beach rides, trail riding, hopping over small logs, and attending a schooling show. He could make a wonderful partner for someone looking for a versatile horse to enjoy a variety of activities.

Eddie ties, trailers, ponies (and can be ponied off of), and loves bath time. He gets along well in turnout, whether turned out alone or with friends, making him an easy addition to a variety of barn situations.

Eddie has clean legs, is currently barefoot, and is easy to have in the barn. Most importantly, he is deeply loved, and finding the right home is the owner's top priority. Due to medical circumstances, his owner is no longer able to provide the level of care and time he deserves.
