"Dutch" is a beautiful 6 year old red roan overo grade gelding.
He has lots of trail miles, and is a very level headed confident horse. He is the same horse every ride, at home or hauled out, and is very predictable. Pleasant to be around, easy to catch, stands tied/for the farrier, stands for saddling very well. Matter of fact, would really rather not take any extra steps he doesn't have to, more woah than go. Confident on the trail including bridges, steep inclines, large logs, loves water and swimming. Same (slow) pace going out as he goes coming home. Will ride 15-20 miles easily, same horse at mile 1 as he is mile 20.
Overall just an easy going friendly puppy dog gelding with lots of personality.

He is a lazy boy, so he will test a new rider and take advantage of a beginner rider by just plain stopping, trying to turn around and go home, trying to eat grass. Give him an inch he'll take a mile kind of horse.
A beginner/timid rider will be safe, but not have fun until they learn to tell, not ask 🤣 behaves beautifully after he's made sure you're in charge.
He has never seen an arena. Would need some practice for performance events/arena work, phenomenal trail horse.

Teeth and sheath done 6/26/2026, good mouth, vet confirmed age. Easy keeper, strong bodied, good hooves that hold a shoe well for the full 8 weeks. Very sound, but needs a half set of shoes for rocky terrain (does fine on dirt/in the field). Gets along nicely with other horses.

Currently fairly firm on price, as I really enjoy having him around. PPE welcome & always encouraged.
