If you're looking for that increasingly hard-to-find horse that is honest, dependable, and takes care of her rider, meet Misty. Misty is only being offered due to absolutely no fault of her own. She is my husband's horse and he has lost interest in riding so she deserves to be with someone who will enjoy doing what she loves most—hitting the trails. This mare is broke, soft, responsive, very forgiving, and the same horse every ride. She doesn't need to be lunged before riding, is more "whoa" than "go," rides with a loose rein and is the type of horse that gives her rider confidence. Whether you're riding alone or with friends, Misty is happy to lead, follow, or ride in the middle of the pack. She has lots of trail experience and confidently crosses water, bridges, hills, rocky terrain, and all kinds of natural obstacles. She is traffic safe and has been exposed to tractors, cows, donkeys, pigs, goats, dogs, bicycles, drones, balloons, and plenty of commotion without losing her calm, steady attitude. What Misty Knows: Neck reins and direct reins Moves off leg pressure Side passes Opens gates Soft back-up Good stop Soft in the bridle Prefers riding in a hackamore on a loose rein Trail rides Sorting cattle Obstacle work Crosses water and bridges Carries a flag Ponies other horses Comfortable riding bareback in a halter and lead rope Misty is the kind of mare that makes everyone feel safe. She stays calm when there's activity around her and has been extensively desensitized. She is point-and-go horse that takes care of her rider wherever you ask her to go. She is current on vaccinations, deworming, and shoeing. Misty is worth her weight in gold and represents the type of trustworthy trail horse that is becoming harder and harder to find. She would make an outstanding partner for trail riders, or a family looking for one horse everyone can enjoy. This mare means a great deal to us, and finding her the right home is far more important than making a quick sale. She will only be sold to an approved, loving home where she'll continue to be appreciated and enjoyed for her talents. Note: She does NOT want to be a lesson horse or do speed events. She will take care of you out on the trails and we're looking for her next home to want to trail ride and feel safe doing so. She enjoys sorting cows, obstacle courses and the trails. She's not buddy sour or barn sour either. Please only inquire if this is the type of home you can provide her. Located in Clovis, California Serious inquiries only if ready to buy now $10,000.00 (Price is negotiable to the right home)
