I don't know where to begin on this girl; there's just a lot on her resume. She's definitely a winner! She rides, drives, ranches, liberty, does tricks, will pony other horses, and she's comfortable to ride out down the trails or in the arena; she does it all. She's just an all-around handy horse to have around. And she definitely could go in a lot of different directions depending on what you want to do with her.
She is eligible for papers, and we are working on getting those done. Her sire is a registered pure Cleveland Bay, Gaylord York Minster, and her mom is a Friesian cross. She has a nice, stout build like a warmblood, so she's drafty enough but not too drafty, so she's very athletic when you need it. Overall, she has a very quiet, calm-minded demeanor; she's pretty easy to get along with. She is friendly and easy to catch, and she knows her liberty work, so she will come catch you! She gets along well in the herd. She is down to earth; no drama with this girl. She rides off of your legs and seat; you can even ride her around without a bridle. She knows how to move her shoulders, haunches, side passes, and stops off of your seat.
She'll lay down from the ground or from the saddle, and she knows how to sit up like a puppy dog! She also knows the come over cue, so climb up a gate or on a mounting block, and she'll come to pick you up! She has been used for some ranch work, so she's familiar with a rope being thrown off of her. She's also familiar with a bull whip being snapped off of her back. You can open and close gates on her. This girl has logged the miles under her belt, and I think you'll see that from her video. She'll separate away from the other horses out on the trail. She leaves home alone just fine. She hobbles for overnight camping or ties out patiently. She has been used to pony other horses, and she does so well that I've used her to pony weanlings, and you know, weanlings like to pull shenanigans the first couple of times when you start lead training them, but this girl has the patience needed for that. She will go anywhere out on the trail; she has been up and down some steep hills, and she has the powerhouse to do it. She will cross little wooden bridges, little mucky creeks, the river, etc. She has a very level head and the right type of mindset. Now let's talk about her driving. She is perfect under harness; she doesn't miss a beat. She stands like a saint to get hitched; she waits patiently for you to get in the carriage and waits until you ask her to walk. Tulsa has a willing, ready-to-please attitude. We even tried some little jumps with her, and where most horses, the first time, might stop or spook at the jump, she just hopped right over. So take this girl into some fun jumping shows, do fun driving shows, use her for a little ranching, or take her trail riding and go camping with her. In any situation, Tulsa is your girl!
