Draco is a 2010 Percheron/Friesian cross gelding, standing approximately 17.1hh. He's truly a gentle giant with the sweetest personality. He greets me every time I go out to the barn and loves attention.

From what I know, Draco was previously an Amish workhorse with extensive experience driving. When I purchased him last year, he was green under saddle and somewhat wary of people. Since then, he has come a long way and has become much more confident and trusting. Now he loves treats and always wants to see what I'm doing.

Under saddle, he knows the verbal cues for walk, trot, and halt, and he'll stop on a dime. I haven't convinced him to canter yet, but I do have videos from his previous owner showing him walk, trot, canter, and pulling a cart. Once he understands what you're asking, he tries hard and is very willing. He trailers fine and is UTD on his Coggins, hooves, and dental work.

Draco is an easy keeper and has never offered any dangerous behavior. No buck, rear, bolt. He's beginner-safe in the sense that he's quiet, forgiving, and more "whoa" than "go," though he's still relatively inexperienced under saddle and would benefit from someone willing to continue his education. I'd be comfortable putting just about anyone on him. I ride him bareback and in a halter most days. He'd be a great husband horse.

His biggest con is hoof handling. He was never taught to pick up his feet and has difficulty balancing them up for long periods. He has improved since I've owned him, but he currently sees an Amish farrier who trims him in stocks due to his size and balance. If you're local, I'd be happy to provide his contact information.

Draco has been an incredible horse, and parting with him is not an easy decision. Unfortunately, with recent life changes, keeping three horses is no longer sustainable for me. I have his English tack available as well.
