Every once in a while, you come across a young horse that’s simply wired a little differently. Judy has been that horse for me.
Judy is a coming 3-year-old registered Tennessee Walking Horse mare standing approximately 15.2 hh and still growing. She has been started correctly and thoughtfully, never rushed or drilled, and has developed an exceptional foundation both in and out of the arena.
She is naturally smooth-gaited with an incredibly comfortable ride, an excellent stop, a willing back, and is started on neck reining. Judy has plenty of personality and enough forward to be fun, but she is not anxious or hurried. She stays willing, thoughtful, and reasonable under saddle and continues to improve with every ride.
For her age, Judy already has extensive real-world experience. She has been ridden alone and with other horses and has confidently handled creeks, ponds, bridges, hills, rough terrain, and traffic. She has carried a flag, dragged a sled, been shot off of, and been exposed to plenty of unusual sights, sounds, and situations. Rather than immediately reacting, Judy has consistently shown an ability to stop, think, and trust her rider.
On the ground, she stands for grooming, bathing, saddling, bridling, mounting, and the farrier. She picks up all four feet easily and loads and unloads well.
Judy is sired by World Grand Champion and three-time World Champion Minor Ordeal and is out of Stormy Night Revenge. She has the pedigree, natural ability, size, and mind to make an outstanding horse as she continues to mature.
She is current on vaccinations, deworming, dental care, Coggins, and farrier work. She sells with a fresh set of four shoes with Drill Tech and toe clips.
Judy is still a young horse and will be best suited for someone comfortable continuing the education of a coming 3-year-old. However, she already possesses the kind of mind and foundation that are difficult to manufacture.
