Jim is an excellent trail horse and also loves the area. He has a big motor and will go all day. Stocky and sound! Had PPE done last year and no concerns found. No maintenance. We do keep shoes on front and back. Walk/trot/lope, good stop, very light in the bridle, crosses water, will lead or follow, stands tied, good for the farrier, bathes well, loads and hauls well, gets along with other horses, overall delightful to be around. We have owned Jim for about a year. His previous owner used him for trail riding and said before them he was used on a ranch. He is a sensitive guy and would do best with an intermediate to advanced rider. Has had kids on him under supervision. His quirk is he can get herd bound but can work through it with a confident rider. Only selling because he was purchased for my dad and they don't click and I don't have time to ride him. Jim would love to be someone's #1 whether that be out on the trails, or for an advanced youth rider for 4H or OHSET. He is a great horse and a great home is a must.
