🌿 Sage 🌿
Sage is a versatile, kind-hearted 16-year-old Thoroughbred mare looking for her next partner. Standing 15.1 hands, she rides both English and Western and has tried a variety of disciplines. She has a kind disposition and a willing attitude that make her a pleasure to have in the barn. She's the best kind of smart- rarely stubborn and very eager to please.
In the saddle, Sage has a beautiful, naturally forward trot that is comfortable to ride and catches the eye. She is an athletic mare with a quick, balanced turn. She can slow down and collect or pick up the pace and chase a cow, turn a barrel, or pop over a jump. She knows her leads and occasionally can spring a flying change. On the trail, she is happy to lead the group, go through water, over bridges, and canter through fields.
She has been lightly used for lessons and is capable of taking a beginner or youth in the arena with appropriate trainer supervision. She trailers, cross-ties, stands for the farrier, bathes, and on top of it all, she requires no maintenance and is an easy keeper. Her forward nature means she's ready for an intermediate or very confident beginner to take her in any direction. I see her excelling at 4H or some fun shows.
