I got Sniper as a yearling along with 7 other friesian cross colts from a ranch up North. Sniper was the only draft cross we got and honestly wasn’t what I was looking for. I wanted the floaty movement of the friesian not the heaviness that comes with most draft crosses. That being said, Sniper has made me eat my foot! He has effortlessly smooth gaits and is the prettiest mover! He is athletic, built phenomenally, and still just a baby! He has the best personality and a great willing mind. He loves people and attention and is so trusting and wants to please more than anything. Sniper has been hauled all over the place and unloads excited to see new things. He will ride in town, through water, tarps, bareback, with a halter, etc. He is confident riding by himself and doesn’t need a buddy. Sniper is used to my 5 year old son and all of the craziness that comes with that such as bikes, balls, trampolines, and even a bouncy house! He has seen lots of wildlife and is attentive but not spooky in the least. He is sure footed and will pick his way through the worst of terrain. He will plow through thick brush if you ask him to and even getting a big branch that caught him in the flank didn’t fluster him. He allowed me to step off and maneuver him around in order to pull the branch out and then mount up and back on our way. He was started right and trusts more than anything that people want to keep him safe which makes for a very willing and eager partner! Sniper is going to be someone’s heart horse. I had intended on keeping him to start colts but with a torn knee I’m just trying to cut down and unfortunately the nicest are the first to go. Come meet him! You won’t leave without him! Located in Harper, Texas but we have a great hauler and can arrange delivery anywhere at very reasonable rates. We are more than happy to FaceTime anyone interested! Gehring Ranch 830-329-6472
