Looking for a kind-hearted, versatile mare to add to your program? Lucy is a 2011 mare looking for someone with pasture to ride and calves to doctor.
Lucy has spent the summer in Isabelle, SD, learning new things and refining her roping skills. She has been hauled and exposed to a wide variety of activities and environments.
🤠 ACTIVITIES & EXPERIENCE:
• Roping
• Tracking the sled on the heel side — took to it with ease
• Trail riding
• Sorting
• Barrels
• Poles
• Riding around and working cattle
• Exposure to different riding environments
🐴 MANNERS & CARE:
• Up to date on vaccines and teeth
• Stalls well
• Loads great in the trailer
• Bathes
• Gets along well with other horses
• More toward the bottom of the pecking order
• Has been hauled and exposed to a variety of experiences
Lucy can be a little watchy at times. She also doesn’t care much for taking wormer, so I typically add it to some grain.
❤️ BROODMARE POTENTIAL:
Lucy has had one foal and would make a nice broodmare as well. She is a kind-hearted mare with plenty to offer the right person.
Lucy would make a great fit for someone looking for a mare to ride pasture, doctor calves, continue roping on, or simply enjoy in a variety of activities. She has a good foundation and is ready for someone to continue building on what she knows.
