Beautiful 9-Year-Old AQHA Blue Roan Mare – Princeton, IL

I have owned this mare for nearly 6 years, and she has been ridden extensively in a variety of environments, including South Dakota, Arizona, Missouri, Illinois, and Alabama. She is a laid-back, willing mare with a nice handle and excellent ground manners.
She has spent time in the arena, on country roads, and on heavily wooded trails. She has also been ridden alone and in groups, as well as through the Arizona desert. She seems to really enjoy arena work and has a lot of potential as a ranch, trail, or all-around riding horse.
Under saddle, she can:
- Move all four body parts independently off leg pressure
- Sidepass
- Pick up both leads
- Perform a flying lead change
- Start a spin
- Maintain a beautiful jog and collected lope
- Work through trail obstacles
She has even been used to drag a tire in trail class. In Arizona, I entered her in a four-part trail series in the Intermediate class—something she had never done before—and we won the series. I also entered her in a small pleasure class with very little preparation, and she still placed.
Conformation-wise, she has a beautiful head, nice hip, good straight legs, and strong black hooves. She has a great overall build and a quiet, sensible disposition.
She clips, shoes, vaccinates, and hauls well. She is current on vaccinations and Coggins. Her teeth were checked this year and did not require any work. She has never been sick and has only been lame once, due to a hot nail.
This is a laid-back, experienced mare that has been exposed to a lot and has proven herself in both the arena and out on the trail. She would make a very nice ranch horse, trail horse, or all-around partner for the right person. Reasonable offers considered
