Dahlia is a 16-year-old, 16-hand registered Friesian mare with an exceptional pedigree, wonderful temperament, and extensive experience.

She is an affectionate mare who enjoys attention and having a job. Dahlia rides very well in the arena, but she truly excels outside the ring. She particularly enjoys trail riding, obstacles, and new experiences. She has a confident, willing attitude and is the type of horse that can be genuinely enjoyed both in and out of the arena.

Dahlia is exceptionally well mannered and easy to handle. She ties, clips, bathes, trailers, and stands quietly for the farrier. She is especially fond of water and absolutely loves swimming.

Her pedigree is equally impressive. Dahlia is sired by the late Ulbert 390, a successful FEI competitor with numerous wins at Prix St. Georges. Her dam, Dutchess of Ballard, is a 2e Premie mare and a daughter of the legendary Melle 311.

Dahlia has been very loved and well cared for throughout her life. Her current owner recently welcomed a baby and has made the difficult decision to find Dahlia a new home where she can continue to receive the attention, care, and appreciation she deserves.

In addition to being an accomplished and enjoyable riding horse, Dahlia’s pedigree, conformation, and disposition make her an appealing broodmare prospect.

Dahlia is a special mare with an exceptional combination of pedigree, temperament, rideability, and versatility. She would be an excellent choice for an experienced owner looking for a quality Friesian to enjoy both in the arena and on the trail, as well as a potential addition to a breeding program.

I am not the owner of this mare; I’ve been her farrier for 4 years and am helping my client/friend sell her. I LOVE this mare, and want to ensure she finds a great home.
Experienced and loving home preferred. Serious inquiries welcome.

Dahlia is priced below her value as she’s not been ridden for 2 years and will benefit from a refresher. She’s also has some minor arthritis and does best on equioxx.

Please inquire and I will happily discuss her with you.
