Meet Missy! I’ve known this mare (students of mine) for about 18-24 months, she has done superb with her family, but sadly they need to sell all their horses.

I helped them find her initially, and man I AM PICKY when it comes to gaited horses, I’ve trained a lot of them. This mare gaits soooo well, has a great handle and very soft.

She knows her correct cues for each lead in the canter.

Great for farrier, not spooky
6 yrs old (2020 model)
About 14.3 hands, great bone
Easy to bathe
Easy to trailer load
Not buddy sour
Great solid feet, she has been barefoot her whole life.

Cons:
*she is dominant in the herd.
*She doesn’t prefer the heat, she gets itchy down here in southern Utah heat- (frequent baths work if kept in the desert. )

If we could justify buying a gaited horse among all my Reiners, I’d snatch her up in a heartbeat, she is the type of family horse that would stay for 30 years and get some naturally talented, good minded babies out of her.
My daughter loves ending her day riding her after working some of her other project horses ;)
She says “mom, she is therapeutic for me“ ;)

She is great for most riders, she is still young at 6 yrs old, so I wouldn’t say good for beginners. If you have a problem riding her, then there’s your sign, you need riding lessons. Any somewhat of a seasoned rider would hop on her and not have a care in the world 💗 long story short- A GREAT HOME IS A MUST!
