Leroy is an adorable 10 year old gaited mule who has a long list of experience and skills that make him truly a remarkable mule! He is an absolute sweetheart and has none of the negative “muley” traits that can sometimes come with a mule. He has a kind eye, is super gentle and patient and loves attention. He is laid back and calm both on the ground and in the saddle. Leroy has proven himself to be reliable, trustworthy, dependable and loyal. He’s steady and strong on the toughest trails, calm and collected when pushing a cow and a ball of fun at the horse shows.
Leroy is completely natural in his gait and super fun to ride. He is easy to make gait and can ride at a slower gait and also pick up and rack a little faster! His gait is smooth and comfortable to ride all day long.
We’ve ridden Leroy many, many miles on the trail. Our entire family has ridden and trusted Leroy to navigate through some very rough and challenging terrain. Whether it's steep hills, treacherous rocks, or slippery slopes, Leroy is the same sure-footed mount that you can always depend on to keep you safe. He will go wherever you point him. Logs, rocks, ditches, creeks and deeper waters are all part of what he has vast experience in. One of his many amazing qualities is his ability to navigate the trail with ease and make it an enjoyable experience for his rider.
Around the farm, Leroy is most helpful. From helping push and sort cows to mending the fence and checking pastures, he is pretty handy to have around. He takes on whatever task you hand him and does it with skill and confidence. He has an easygoing, get-along attitude that adds to the amazing mule he already is. We have even shown Leroy at local fun shows! He is so much fun to show and always does a great job! He is a head turner and stands out among both horses and other mules. Not much ever fazes him. Between the lights, music, traffic and commotion he is always the same safe and steady guy! He is also completely traffic safe and has been ridden to and through town many times! If you are new to mules, he is definitely the kind you would want to start with! He has the biggest, sweetest personality and is a joy to be around and ride. Leroy is also great with tarps, whips and guns as you can see in the video. Leroy gets along perfectly with other mules and horses where he is mostly kept in the pasture and is super easy to catch and loves to see you coming! Leroy really is a jewel.
