Teki to the Limit is a powerful 15.3hh 2015 TB mare with many successful completions through the CCI3*L level, numerous Advanced CTs both rated and unrated, and even some starts in the 1.30m at A shows. She has only had once XC jump penalty in her career, and that was due to pilot error leading to pilot tumble on landing at a CCI4*-S. I was 5mo pregnant at the time and since having Charlotte, I have not pushed to return to that level yet which is the only reason we did not return to try again.

Recently, Teki has been campaigned by my 16yo student who just finished her first modified. Teki is still plenty capable of continuing on with an UL job, but has also been having a blast as a teacher. She is 100% genuine and has an incredible work ethic. She gives bareback lessons, leads on any trail or road hack, is sweet and gentle on the ground, and gets along easily with both mares and geldings.

Teki is really well schooled but does struggle with tension in the show ring - but the older she gets, the better she is! She’s made huge strides this past year in finding her inner peace while competing, and you’ll forgive her for everything when you go XC. Despite all her energy, Teki does not rear, buck, bolt or do any nasty behavior ever. Jigging back to the barn on occasion is her worst sin.

Teki is very uncomplicated to shoe and care for. Her maintenance is minimal (hocks and stifles yearly, SI as needed) and she has only ever missed work due to the rare hoof abscess. Right now she gets a monthly Legend shot and mag/vit e/selenium supplements.

Teki would be a wonderful horse for an ambitious teen or adult amateur who wants a kind and willing partner to both compete and play. She can take a joke but she’s most suited to a rider with a soft balanced seat who doesn’t get intimidated by alpha mare energy. Her ideal life includes lots of time to get rowdy in the field with her friends and infinite peppermints.
