If you are looking for a truly special horse, that is perfect in every way, Maximus is that horse! Maximus is big, quite in every situation, bombproof type that is very hard to find. With his beautiful blue roan coat, his sweet gentle personality, and great disposition he turns heads no matter where he go’s! With him only being 5 years old, he has the mind and experience of most 15 year olds. Maximus has had lots of arena work, he lops in a circle nice and always picks of the right lead. He neck reigns, yields at a trot both directions and collects up very nice, and is very soft. He side passes well both ways, stops well, backs up, yields his hind quarters and pivots both directions. He’s been ridden English and western. He does well at jumping and would be great at cross country, fox hunting or dressage . He will come over to you at the mounting block, or anything, for you to get on, he always stands still and waits for you to move him forward. He is very patient and very easy for anyone to get along with! He lays down on command, mounted or from the ground. He also rides bridle-less in the arena. Outside of the arena, Maximus has been ridden on many trail rides, along with many different states. He rides out alone, or in large groups, he doesn’t mind if others leave him behind. He will lead out confidently, can ride in the back or middle, he doesn’t mind horses getting right behind him and has never offered to kick. He’s sure footed on the trail for his size. He crosses logs, bridges, rivers, and does well on steep, terrain. He also does well for children out on the trail. He’s been ridden through town, through drive-through’s. When driving across country I’ve ridden him bar-back, with a halter at truck stops, absolutely nothing phases this guy. He’s been on overnight camping trips, standing tied all night. You can pony off of him or he can be ponied. He’s use to cows, dogs, flags, all sorts of traffic/farm equipment, guns and just the everyday hustle and bustle. Maximus has served as a lesson horse a couple days a week at signature ranch over this summer. He has had children of all ages learning to ride on him, and has been a big confidence builder. He is patient and forgiving for beginner riders. You can climb all over him, go underneath him, slid off the back of him, swing off and onto him, he couldn’t care less. He has drug logs, sleds, and have swung a rope off of him. He’s also done a little Roman riding. He would make a great all around ranch horse or family farm horse. He’s good for the farrier, stands for baths, clippers don’t bother him at all, picks up all for feet well, lowers his head to bridle, stands to tack up. He loads and hauls well, and backs out of the trailer. He is trained to drive and does it well. Maximus is very friendly and one of the first ones to meet you at the gate. He gets along great with other horses and isn’t the bossy type. Max is always the same horse even if it’s been a few weeks since his last ride.
