Butters is being sold as a grade mare. I don’t have much info about her past before I got her. I bought her from a ranch that had purchased her to be the ranch horse as well as one of the horses in the lesson program. She is about 14 years old and is such a sweet girl. She can be a little slow to warm up (except for kids she seems to warm up to them pretty quickly) she had her teeth done 4/1/22 and she is UTD on trims. She will only go into a slant load. Willing to deliver for extra fee if needed. She gets regular farrier work. She will likely require shoes. She has soft feet that bruise easy without them. She is not horrible with her feet by any means but she can be a little reserved for a few minutes at first. She stands tied, she came and stood tied to the trailer at a gaming event for the entire day aside from the early morning part Butters can be a little shy but she’s warms up quick now Butters is the best girl and in the saddle she doesn’t miss a beat at all. Even if there’s another horse being a turd by you. She has been exposed to cattle and sheep. Doesn’t mind dogs as long as they don’t chase her. She’s typically low on the totem poll but currently she’s my pregnant alpha mares favorite so she’s been graced with being second in the herd 😂 I’m really sad to see butters go but I feel she has to much to offer a little kid who wants a horse to love. She has been great for my daughter but she just doesn’t hold much interest in having a horse once I actually got her one. So butters deserves a good home with all the love she can get. Some pictures are older but the ones where she isn’t so tubby are current. Butters is a horse I fully trust with my 6 year old to ride and lead around and groom. She has done it all to her aside from picking feet because my other mare is super easy for kids to learn that on so she’s usually my go to for that and that’s about the only reason why. My daughter rode her solo for the first time in a wind storm and she never hesitated to do what was asked of her. She would make a good grade broodmare prospect as well. She shows signs of having had babies in the past. Asking 4,200$ but price is also negotiable to a great home. I plan to put shoes on her at her next trim appointment of mid is gone and that should help her a lot with her tender feet. I was told she has done 4h in the past but that is not something I have done. I have taken her into an arena during warm up before a gaming show with about 50 other horses going around at the same time and she didn’t bat an eye or seem phased at all. She is a line back dun overo mare and o can send pictures upon request.
