Highlights: 11 year old registered Friesian Sport Horse (Quarter Horse cross) gelding. 15hh, barefoot, and sound. Energetic and loves to be ridden, and people oriented. Very smooth canter. Stands well for the farrier and loads/hauls well. Up to date on vet care, dental, etc. Goes English or Western. Earlier in his life he had been in parades and possibly had some initial trail experience before I had him - but has only been ridden at the barn property and in an arena since January 2022. Real Talk: Best suited to an advanced or very confident intermediate horse person who is a strong leader. Needs to be ridden consistently. While he's generally quite good under saddle, he can get fussy on the ground and become difficult to handle when asked to do some groundwork (e.g. if he doesn't understand what's being asked of him). I think it's from his past life as a charro / Mexican parade horse and he's still working through that now that he's been with a natural horsemanship trainer. His best home is with someone who'd patiently develop a trusting relationship with him and who wouldn't be intimidated by any spice that comes out on the ground.
