The Gladiator “Spartacus” is a 2017 thoroughbred gelding. He stands at 16.3h and is big boned to match. Spartacus’ pedigree speaks for itself, he was bred in Chile and is an own son of Verrazano. He had a successful career on the track winning over 30k and last raced in October of 2022. He is well traveled. I purchased Spartacus in December of 2022 in order to take him to the Thoroughbred Makeover in October. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he is now for sale. He is registered with the RRP for the TB Makeover and could still be used. He is also registered with the TIP. Spartacus has been really easy to transition from track life to western riding. He has never offered to do anything dangerous like buck, rear, bolt or kick. He has a nice walk, trot and lope. He has been hauled and walked around at barrel races, friends arenas and other local arenas. He will typically call once or twice and then travels great otherwise. He takes everything in stride and has also been introduced to obstacle courses without batting an eye. He has been ridden by a beginner and is overall a very gentle and sweet horse. He’s more whoa than go but has the go if asked for it. He stands great for the farrier, chiropractor and vet. He currently has shoes on all 4. He easily loads into a slant trailer (I’ve never tried a straight) and backs out. He ties well and is overall easy to work with. I can see Spartacus excelling with an intermediate rider of any discipline. He had a PPE (no X-Rays) done in December that I’d be happy to share with an interested buyer. PPEs are also welcome at buyers expense.
