Sweet and Experienced Trail mule is game for anything you want to try! We have ridden her English and even jumped, Coon Jumping, trail riding, Trail obstacles, jumped up banks, crossed large tires, rain slicker doesn't bother her - She has said "YES" to anything we have asked her to try!
Katie is very sweet and loves tail rubs and will do almost anything for a banana. She will meet you at the gate, stand tied, groom, pick up feet and saddle. She knows basic ground work. She is good with her ears for handling and clipping. I have known Katie for years and she was owned by a friend of mine whose husband rode her in the mountains trail riding. Her current owner has had to slow down in her riding because of age. At 16ys Katie is sound and ready to start her next adventure. She is sound and has been sound as long as I have known her.
Katie is solid and confident in the ring or out on the trail. She eats up the trail and isn't bothered even when another bigger mule ran into her while going down him on a recent trip. She spent a week at Mule Days at Leatherwood and was fine with no shoes. She has very solid, strong feet and doesn't give our farrier any problems.
Katie is willing to go, when asked she wants to know, How Fast and Where? She can be ridden with light contact or toss the reins away and she doesn't change her pace. She was schooled Working Equitation and trail rode the last few years. She would work for a kid who is not bothered by her go, but also carries adults with no problem. She has a wide build. She is just a hair over 14.1 Hands. Rider in the photo is 5'6".
