13yo 15.1h grade mare, DNA report from Texas A&M = Andalusian, Caspian, Paso Fino Pepper, aka Pep, Pep-Pep, Penny Pepper, is a gorgeous liver chestnut mare looking for a new home through no fault of her own, as her owner’s job requires increasing travel and they won’t be able to give her the time and attention she deserves. Pepper would really love an easy-going trail home, she is keen and eager to head out the gates and usually walks faster out than back. She would be a great endurance or competitive trail horse once she’s back in shape…she’s a very easy keeper and needs to be on a bit of a diet ;) She is a sensitive boss mare so gelding-lovers need not apply. Owner and myself will be very picky about who she goes to as she does have some quirks that need to be taken into consideration. She has been used as a lesson horse in the past but got burned out of that job. She doesn’t enjoy jumping and will most likely promptly stop/dump you if you try. She might excel in Western Dressage if you are patient and want to work through her canter as you progress through the levels. She is a very easy keeper, has fantastic barefoot hooves, is sturdy and stout, and is a general pleasure to have in the barn. PPEs welcome at buyer’s expense, and I’m happy to share all medical records I have on hand. Special consideration given to someone who would keep her in my program, in Franktown, CO. We have access to public trails from the property and are a laid-back, family-friendly lesson and training barn with western and English instructors. Please message for more info or to schedule a time to meet this special girl.
