She has schooled 2nd and 3rd level dressage. Jumped. Cross country. She’s shown and spent lots of hours on the trails and had a foal 2 years ago. She spent last winter/soring being the main mount for a youth rider and has been sitting around not doing much since. Thought about breeding her then didn’t. Cons: - I don’t have her papers on hand as her previous owner never sent them to me, but I’ve got images of them. -Shes not an easy keeper. You can’t just turn her out on a round bale and expect her to keep weight. -Foal (not hers) chewed part of her tail off this summer. It WAS gorgeous. Now it’s wimpy. -If you want to take her out in rough trails, she’ll need front shoes -She is absolutely at the bottom of the pecking order no matter the herd. She will not stick up for herself so she does better turned out with gentle horses. Pros: -She is sensitive to to the leg and pretty push ride. - she is SO safe. Not a spooky mare at all. Handles new places and new things with grace. -she’s a very willing and cuddly mare - she has the training to teach more advanced skills to new/younger riders. -loads, clips, bathes, stands for farrier, stands quiet for live cover -she is not “a lot” of horse, but you get a lot from her. I’d say she at least needs an advanced beginner with a trainer because she is a responsive mare with a lot of training. If you ask her the wrong question by mistake, she will give you the right answer. She would be fantastic step up horse to teach a young rider safely.
