This 4 year old registered Friesian Sport Horse gelding is one of the most exquisite athletes of his age! Sparrow is stunning with his color, hair and athletic build he is the epitome of a sport horse. Sparrow stands at 14.2 hands tall and is correct as well as bump/blemish free. He’s become one of our favorites to ride and absolutely earns an A++ in work athletic and knowledge. He is soft in face both laterally and on the vertical, he moves his shoulders, ribs and hips and will side pass/leg yield, half pass (trot and canter) as well as turn on the haunches both ways and has a lovely stop as well as transitions up and down. Sparrow rides both western and English and has great potential in both disciplines, he will ride in and out of the arena quietly and even has a true one hand neck rein! Sparrow takes both leads and is a beautiful and comfortable mover- on top of being naturally very pretty and balanced in movement he’s also just a blast to ride. Out on trail Sparrow and I have encountered lots of wildlife and he remained quiet and calm as turkeys fluttered in front of him and deer ran out behind us. He is confident riding out along or in a group, he has no bite or kick in him and is okay with horses riding up close behind or beside him. He is traffic and equipment safe and comfortable being ridden around dogs and other farm animals. He will literally go anywhere on trail you point him- nothing is to narrow, too steep or too challenging for him. He could make a great eventer, endurance horse, dressage horse or competitive driving horse. Sparrow is behaved for both the vet and farrier and stands tied nicely to be groomed, tacked and bathed. He loads into any style trailer and hauls like a dream, he off loads quietly off property and requires no prep to be ridden in new places. Sparrow also is trained to drive and is VERY fun in the cart, he is also road safe and traffic safe when being driven and happy to go where ever he is directed! Sparrow sells 100% sound without vices or limitations. We welcome vet exams at the prospective buyers expense.
