Beauty is a broke to ride 9 year old black pony mare standing 12 hands high. We have had her for 2 years. She was in foal when we bought her. She had a cute quarter horse cross roan colt. Beauty stands quietly when tied, brushing, cleaning/trimming feet, saddling. Has been ridden by kids on trails, pushing cows, in cowboy challenges, ponied behind horses. She is more whoa than go. Definitely prefers to walk and trot. Can get a little cranky sometimes when asked to lope, but will if kids know how to ride. An advanced beginner would probably fit best because of this. She not spooky but a typical pony, will try to take advantage if she can.
