This incredibly special colt recently passed his Westfalen (Knabstrupper book) inspection with excellent scores, including an 8 for type. As a new breeder establishing a quality broodmare herd, Ferris is everything I hoped to produce except, unfortunately, not a filly. If you are a fan of traditional Warmbloods--solid, athletic, powerful, and built to last--but want unique color and an in-your-pocket personality, then Ferris is your boy!

Ferris is incredibly friendly, confident, smart, and curious. Although he can get a little full of himself, he is up for trying just about anything--nothing rattles him. Ferris genuinely loves being the center of attention. He is handled regularly and is easy to approach, halter, lead, and groom. He is easy to catch-even in a large pasture, loads and travels well, and stands nicely for the farrier.

Ferris was bred to jump and will excel as a hunter, jumper or event horse. His sire, Pax, is a young, North American Knabstrupper stallion establishing a career in hunters, dressage, and driving and producing talented, trainable, and striking prospects for dressage, hunters, jumpers, and eventing. He stamps his offspring with versatile athleticism, trainable temperaments, and loud color. Ferris's dam, Felicity (Farrah) never met a jump she couldn't "take" and at 22 is still sound with no maintenance. Ferris's grandsire on his dam side, Wanderbursh II (related to Weltmeyer through his dam line) was the top scoring jumper and reserve overall in his stallion test, going on to produce many successful show jumpers.

Ferris is weaned and ready for his next adventure. Will be gelded in December if not sold by then.
