“Sonny” stands 15 hands tall. With his golden dappled palomino coat and long Snow White mane and tail, make him a standout anywhere he goes!
Sonny is an extremely broke gelding, with a ton of handle and ability. Not only does his talent speak for itself, he is backed with a stellar pedigree. He is sired by Sun Frost Wonder who has progeny earnings of $500,000.
This gelding has been started solid on both ends of team roping and is ready for someone to continue on with. He shows a lot of potential as a big time head horse. Sonny is also well patterned on the barrels and just needs hauling. He has been hauled and entered a handle full of times but mainly been taken for exhibitions. This gelding has a lot of run for either of these events and will excel at either!
In the arena Sonny neck reins nicely and has a nice one hand turn around, as well as a sliding stop. He stays soft in the bridle and easily performs all maneuvers easily.
Sonny has also been used as a pickup horse at a few rodeos over the summer, and took to it well. He doesn’t shy away from the lights or action and steps right in when he is needed. He has also drug a few bulls out as well.
Out on the trails Sonny is easy to maneuver through brush, creeks, bridges, and ditches. We have ridden him all over Texas and Oklahoma and will go through anything you ask.
Whether you ride Sonny everyday or once a month he will be the same horse you put away the last time you rode. He stays broke with substantial amount of time off.
Sonny stalls well or is just fine being turned out with other geldings, he goes out and doesn’t cause a fuss. Sonny is easy to shoe, bathe and clip. He loads and backs off the horse trailer with ease.
He is current on farrier, dental work and coggins.
