Lakota is a big, beautiful grulla roan tobiano mare by Wyo Hawk Hancock. He is a grullo AQHA stallion that traces back to the legendary Blue Valentine. This mare is a line bred Blue Valentine on the paternal dam's pedigree. Most Hancock horses were never shown in AQHA, NCHA, or NRHA events. They are outstanding ranch and rodeo horses that many of the top PRCA cowboys competed on. They are big boned good footed horses and are as tough and durable as you will find.
On the maternal pedigree this great mare is out of a daughter of Peptos Stylish Oak. Peptos Stylish Oak is a NCHA $4 Million sire! He is one of the prettiest sons of Peptoboonsmal that I have seen. He has spent the bulk of his breeding career in Australia but is back in the USA now at SDP Buffalo Ranch. He is sired by NCHA Open Futurity Champion , Peptoboonsmal. Peptoboonsmal is an NCHA $27 Million sire and one of the greatest sires we have known. On the maternal side this mare also goes back to a daughter of Docs Stylish Oak that was an NCHA earner of $89,775. Docs Stylish Oak was an exceptional horse with NCHA earnings of $65,978.
