Drakkar! Our grandest guy, standing at 15.2 this Tennessee Walking horse gelding will be six in May. I have had him here where I live in Skagit Valley, Washington since he was a yearling, and he has grown into an excellent horse. Nicely gaited, he has a consistent, smooth 4-beat gait. I think he was born to perform, with a multi-speed “walk-and-shake” stride he has more style than is being appreciated here. Also, he has shown up well to various places and challenges I throw at him. He has experience but he has been ridden lightly and with great consideration for his development. Drakkar has been camping, loves water, is an active member of a local Equine group that rides together in parades, annd other events. He has crossed large rivers and spent time on ocean beaches. He did excellent competing in a fun cowboy dressage show. Started in an English saddle and snaffle, he now rides well in a gaited endurance or Western options. I have different bits I use for trail, or arena work. He holds himself nicely with minimal rein pressure. He rides out alone, and in a group, will lead and doesn't mind the back.. Pretty much fearless, and makes an awesome partner for whatever I throw at him. Comes to the gate everytime, and gets in the trailer with zero fuss. He is extremely strong and healthy, he was gelded when he was 3. I do not quite trust him with beginner riders outside of a controlled space he can be a brat and he can be a bully, he wants to test what he can get away with and will push an unclear rider. Also, he is a big softy with kids and for the most part acts like a gentleman. Sometimes is impatient with the ferrier about his back feet, i have kept him in just front shoes, because it is cheaper and helps his gait development. Has not helped him being a turd about holding his back feet. My back just can't tackle the issue. I think that's it! Love this horse, I just have too many and he is the one ready for the big parade. I have a TON of content, had a hard time getting the right video to loan here, reach out happy to send all the files. This is a family horse and he is deeply loved, we are available to deliver and leave him with a deposit. I guarantee all my horses, if you don’t love him after 60 days I will refund all $ minus 20% deposit.
