Meet this handsome gelding with a wonderful sweet puppy dog personality! Rio is a thick built growing 15.2+ rising 5yo (expecting to top at 16hh) with NO vices/injuries/limitations/ maintenance (barefoot!) and is an easy keeper. Solid young promising upper level prospect with no naughty behavior- he has shown NO buck/bolt/rear/etc! He has a VERY solid mind on him!

Rio is perfect for an adult amateur or confident older skilled teen who is working alongside a trainer. He can go into any discipline and will shine whichever way you want him to go! His flashy & floaty large movement will make him stand out in the dressage and hunter rings and his powerful hind end & bravery will take him far in eventing and jumpers. He’s already showing to be a great candidate to be an upper level mount and has tremendous scope and promise for an ambitious rider. He has free jumped up to 4’3 (1.30m) with ease. Simple and uncomplicated ride that is pretty even with go and whoa, preferences a soft consistent rider but does not seem to mind a joke moment here and there. He is an adjustable ride that can be more forward if asked to be or collect back into a nice hunter type movement. Rio has been started over fences and small courses up to 2’/ 2’3 singles with auto changes. He started to school 1st level dressage tests prior to the outdoor arena becoming a mud slip n slide. He happily hacks out solo and in groups on country roads and in woods/fields without any issues and enjoys popping over logs, very confident with a timid rider. Cars, semis, combines, deer, turkey vultures and bikers have not bothered this guy! Nice solid mount for someone wanting to have fun but also go compete.

Great for vet, farrier, dentist, etc. Clips and bathes easily- enjoys water. PPE welcomed at buyers expense. No off site trials or leases. Viewings are welcomed for you to try him on property- basic flatwork, free jump & over crossrails but we do not have space in the indoor for courses or higher undersaddle. Could potentially haul out to another facility, but would require a nonrefundable small deposit to block day off for viewing (due 24hrs prior)

His price is negotiable for quick & uncomplicated. He is top caliber of a horse and he will take you very far! His blankets can also be discussed at an additional cost (tack potentially as well).
