Olaf is a blue roan, 12 year old, 13.2-13.3 hand Tenessee Walker welsh pony cross gelding. Olaf is very easy going guy with willingness to please his rider. He is great on trails and will cross water, desensitized to tarps, dogs, tractors, and chickens. He is perfect for the farrier, good on the ground, ties, bathes, stands to get tacked, stands to get mounted, loads in a 2 and 10 horse trailer, and will go through lots of different obstacles. He gaits well and is smooth at the walk, trot, and canter. I’m going to be brutally honest as he needs a home that will suit him. I rescued Olaf back in September of this year, I got him, thinking he was a 1-2 year old as you don’t see very many gaited ponies, and he acted unhandled. When I finally caught him in our round pen I found out he wasn’t a baby when looking at his teeth, and he was apparently halter broke. I spent hours and hours with him and he didn’t trust me for several weeks, and I learned he was severely abused. It took time to get him settled down, and he is doing fantastic now. But he needs someone who will be consistent, and spoil him. But when I first rode him, he was absolutely perfect. He’s never bucked, reared, kicked, or bitten anyone. The only reason I am selling him is because I originally got him as a project, and never planned on keeping him. And I have another project at the moment and Olaf isn’t getting enough attention.
