If you’ve ever owned, ridden, or shown a Cook/Rocky Top Appaloosa’s bred horse, you know her pedigree speaks for itself - siblings have been shown competitively and her sire produced numerous regional and world champions. Rune is a coming 4 year old solid bay mare. She was started at the UMC Colt Starting program then had 90 days professional training with Sundsbak Performance Horses last summer. Put her in training for a refresher, or refresh her yourself. She’s easy to ride, easy to show, easy to catch, everything with this mare is easy. She’s willing, settles in at shows right away, nothing phases this mare. She did a 20 mile weekend trail ride this fall and I had frequent comments on her quiet nature. Rune showed at the All Breed show in Valley City for her first ever show and handled it like a seasoned pro. She was shown in Non-Pro walk/trot Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Ranch Rail, showmanship, and halter classes. Rune did qualify for the World Show in 2023 - but due to financial limitations, she was not shown. She has been ridden and shown by a non-pro. I would not consider her a finished show horse, as she needs more consistency with work at the lope. She is solid at the walk and jog, and has a fantastic extended jog for the ranch and hunter under saddle classes. She has a more forward lope due to being on the back burner. Ride her, trail ride her, show her locally or regionally, breed her. The options are endless with this mare. She’s got potential for a great all-arounder.
