"Apache Brave" - May 2014 - 16.1h - Gelding Apache was decently successful at the racetrack and made his last start in Oct 2021. From there his breeders were able to get him back and he worked in FL as a pony horse for a bit. For the last year + hes just been turned out on their farm enjoying some time to be a horse. While he comes from fantastic connections and could've lived out his days there, he likes to work and having a job! He arrived at the farm last week and was restarted on 01/29. We tacked up and got right on without prep. Overall he came out pretty simple and should be able to be continued with an experienced adult ammy. Apache has three lovely gaits, I was really impressed by how well he did relaxing into his trot and stretching. His canter is equally as balanced and lovely, he showed us a few lead changes even. Additionally we introduced him to some jumps and he did great. He was brave, smart and athletic over them. He strikes me as your all-arounder. With time I think he could easily be a super cute hunter, but I could also see an event type enjoying him! He's just a cool horse that is going to be useful and fun to a lot of people. Apache is currently barefoot and has no vices. He's turned out at night with another gelding and stalled during the day. Current on everything, including front fetlock films available to serious parties. Located in Ocala FL, shipping available.
