PORTIA CAYENNE AFIRE I have been on and off the fence in rehoming Portia for several years now. The time has come to let her go to someone that is going to use and appreciate to the fullest, as my Husband and I are soon retiring. She has many years of professional training and was shown before we purchased her. Had training thru second level dressage. Shown Halter, Pleasure Hunter+, flat classes. 15.1HH, barefoot. Registered AHA Purebred Arabian, with noteworthy breeding. DNA typed, and Sweepstakes Nominated. Own Daughter of renown Justafire DGL, and Granddaughter of Numaa++. Correct conformation with lovely movement. Evaluated as a PSG, National level horse by international Judges. Since we have owned Portia, she's been used by different ages/levels of riders at our quiet and private barn. Beginner-Novice riders with lessons/supervision, along with intermediates riding on their own after they've shown they can work independently. Portia is a lovely Mare both inside and out. Easy to groom and tack up. Ridden both English and Western saddles and looks nice either way. She appreciates soft hands and works off your seat with a knowledgeable rider that is in sync with her. No special needs/health issues. No medication, injections, treatments, etc. Up to date on shots (4-way flu/tet), de-worming, hoof trim, dental. Great for vetting, getting shots, blood draws, x-rays, wellness exams, farrier, etc. Portia gets along with other horses, or she can be by herself. When it's time to go back to barn from pasture she usually walks or trots right up to you, she's not a horse that is hard to catch. Portia's tidy in her stall and paddock area and likes to stay clean, even her four white socks. Have lots of videos of different riders you can view if you come for a visit. Sorry, the videos don't download well enough to send. An assortment of blankets, leather halter with her name engraved, hood, rope and nylon halters, lead ropes, etc. go with her. My first choice of partners for Portia is a confident intermediate rider with a well-rounded background. A rider that can appreciate her all her years of previous training that can be used to full potential. When ridden regularly by a well-schooled rider she comes along quickly in the fancier movements and could be ready to show in a short amount of time. Multiple visits to get familiar with Portia/ride, along with your own trainer's evaluation, pre-purchase exam will be welcome. When she leaves our barn, we want new owner/s to be tickled pink with her. No trades, etc. $6500/cash, to a great home. Please call (three-six-zero) 366-3631 (land line, no text), for more information. Thank you.
