“Kira” is a very kind natured, exceptional mare. Started late through no fault of her own (Owner/Breeder was relocating from CA to OR), she is ready for anything. She is brave and bold, but very sweet. She confidently trail rides out alone, and though she has not been shown, she is well traveled and enjoys getting out and about. She has been lightly under saddle for a year, and in training with me for six weeks.
A barn favorite among horses and humans, Kira is not ‘mareish’ or rude in any way. To ride, she feels powerful and forward/sensitive in the right way. She has a conscience and always tries to please. Soft and steady in the contact, with great brakes. Big bodied (rider is 5’4”) great feet (currently barefoot, has been shod in front) healthy and happy. Kira does occasionally (very mildly) windsuck. It is so occasional, we have not even tried a collar. No other vices, she is a pleasure under saddle and in the barn.
Kira is a quality US bred horse, one of this age and caliber isn’t often on the market. A great match is our priority. Though Kira is an AA horse through and through, she is still young and green and we prefer she goes to an AA with Professional support and oversight.
Owner/Breeder is retired after a long successful career. Therefore Kira is priced to sell.
