Keltic is the only (soon to be) fully registered Canadian Cheval baby born in the southeastern United States in 2023. There are less than 10 fully registered Canadian Chevals currently living in the southeastern US. Keltic has been handled since birth and is currently working on his ground manners – leading, loading, grooming, etc. He will be ready for his new home in April. Not only is Keltic a rare breed, but he is also exceptionally well bred. From his mother (DD D-Cromwell Princesse #10580); he gets the famed temperament of the Henryville foundation lines. These Canadians are consistently level-headed, quiet, gentle, and loving. From his Sire (Courage Celtic Highland #15017); he gets great athleticism that descends from the well-known stud, Lalou. Lalou passes on incredible agility and a competitive spirit to his off-spring. Keltic has excellent conformation with a short back and long legs that will make him a superstar over fences. While we do not ask that he remain a stallion, his conformation, size, temperament, and pedigree also give him stallion potential. He is a true black with no white markings. His mother remains jet black through out the Georgia summers. We expect him to mature over 16hh. Keltic has really taken to his ground-manner training and has proven to be a quick learner. This little guy is brave, curious, and would crawl into your pocket if he could. He prefers to lead his mom in from the paddock, will whinny when he sees you, and trots up to the fence for scratches. He is great at picking hooves up. He is fully vaccinated, has been wormed, and will be micro-chipped and ready for his new home in April 2024. If you know about this rare breed ... you know. If you don't, you should! We use our Canadians to fox hunt, but they are also incredible at carting around the kids, going on leisurely trail rides, jumping around a course in the ring and move fancy enough for dressage. I could definitely see Keltic being an upper level Eventer like several of his family members - a 'first cousin' showed successfully at 2* events. These horses are incredibly meet-you-at-the-gate loyal and once you are their 'person' they will do anything for you. They have incredible brains, love to work, and can go all day long. Annnnd they are about the easiest keepers you could ask for. I like to tell everyone they are the best horse they've never heard of. You can see more pictures of Keltic (and our other Canadians in action) at bourbon.bleu on instagram or facebook. Price: $8000 USD. Approved home only. Located in Washington, GA.
