  • 07/25/2009: NEW COMMUNITY FLAGGING: We do our best to keep non-horse ads and scammer ads off the site. Please help us remove these unwanted ads promptly so your searches can be clear of unwanted listings that don't belong on DreamHorse. If you see an ad such as those listed above on our site, please click the FLAG AD button found on the full-page ad. After a certain number of flags are placed on an ad, it will be automatically FLAGGED DOWN by our community so that it can no longer been seen in our search results listings. This is a quick and easy way to alert our staff to problem ads.

  • 07/18/2009 11AM Central: We are aware of the problem with photos missing from our some of our ads. This issue is being worked on and should be resolved very soon.

  • 10/19/2008: The issue with our help desk has been resolved. Our Help Desk is now correctly polling our email server. Now that the system is working properly, every ticket or email that you send to our help desk will receive an automated acknowledgement. In the past several months, we believe we did not receive some emails that were being sent to our help desk. If you did not receive an acknowledgement, we did not receive your help desk email. We are very sorry for this error in our system and this is now fixed. We want our customers to be completely satisfied and we ALWAYS do our best to answer EVERY help desk ticket we receive within one business day.   • 10/16/2008:We have just discovered a major issue with our LivePerson Help Desk System. We are working on a solution now. We do receive every original help desk ticket. However, what has been happening for quite some time without our knowledge is that when a customer REPLIES BACK to a help desk ticket BY EMAIL, these replies have not been getting loaded into our help desk system. We have just been told that the LivePerson help desk system is not able to read email from a secure email server and our email system is on a secure server. We want to profusely apologize to all of the users of our site over this issue that was unknown to us until today and will have this working properly as soon as possible.

  • 08/28/08: We now have new instructional videos on our site to assist our new users with registering a new account and a second one on creating a new ad. We would like to express our thanks to Kristi Kaiser of www.kristikaiser.com, a long-time seller of Custom Rail Shirts on our TackTrader.com site who created these videos for us.

  • 9/2007: We have successfully migrated our servers to new Dell dual core servers with the latest techology available.

  • 10/31/2006: In an effort to make sure that our sellers receive their ad responses in a timely manner, we have added a second notification email today that comes directly from us. This alert will simply let you know that you have a saved ad response on our site. We will continue to send the email from the interested person as well. We hope this will ensure that you will have prompt notification of a potential buyer's interest in your horse.

  • 8/2006: Attention Sellers: YAHOO, HOTMAIL, NETZERO, CENTURYTEL, ETC. USERS Yahoo, Netzero, Hotmail, and OTHERS filter all messages that are sent to you via their services. They filter the email on content. If an email fails a content test, that mail is deleted and you will not get it. The filters are VERY aggressive. A great deal of mail that you may want to get may not be delivered to you. They may filter your ad responses so you do not GET THEM. Please use a business-level email address on our system that allows you to receive your ad responses.

  • 5/5/06: NETZERO.NET email addresses MAY NOT BE WORKING We have seen some ad responses sent to netzero.net email accounts that are bouncing. Please check with your email provider about this problem or use a different email address on our system. The previous problem with verizon.net email addresses has been resolved. If you are not getting your ad responses, be sure to check SHOW RESPONSES list from the edit screen for your horse as we do save ad responses.

  • 12/7/05: Warning: New SCAM Seen: It has been called to our attention that there is a new type of scam occuring on the internet. TackTrader does not have any sort of guaranteed payment, escrow, or insurance program and does not send out any email of this nature. Any email like this is FAKE. We have a report of at least one fraudulent SELLER on our site who was selling saddles from London and sending out messages of this nature. This is a new twist on our previous fraud alert. Please be very careful in any dealings with foreigners. We are doing our best to get this stopped as it is reported to us. If you are aware of a seller like this operating on our site, please report it to us at Customer Service.

  • 6/24/05: FORGED EMAILS DreamHorse is NOT sending and has never sent any kind of email telling users that their accounts have been suspended or deactivated. We don't send out anything with file attachments either. This type of email is forged. They are "spoofing" our return address and is fairly commonplace on the internet these days. If you receive this type of email, please delete it immediately. It is NOT from us even though it looks like it is from us and could be damaging to your computer. If you look closely at the email properties, you can see that it is really sent from a different source that is "spoofing" our email address to make it look legimate so that you will click on their attachment file. The attachment file may be an attempt to "phish" private information from you such as your login, etc. and should NOT be opened. We are now subscribed to SPF: Sender Policy Framework so that these forgeries can be identified easier. You may see something in the header file of the email that will say "This email appears to be forged".

  • 5/11/05: Choose HTML or Text-Based Email You may now edit your user profile to choose whether your ad responses are sent in HTML format or TEXT-only format. We had some requests for this from sellers who were getting their ad responses on their mobile phones and those who did not have email programs that supported HTML.

  • Feb. 2005: The National Arbitration Forum has awarded Dream Horse Classifieds dba DreamHorse.com control of the domain name "dreamhorse-classifieds.com" which was being used as a copycat web site in bad faith. This domain name is now mapped to our server.

  • 02/28/05: As you may be aware, we have had some serious problems with one of the DreamHorse servers which required us to replace the hard drive and reinstall the operating system. DreamHorse and TackTrader are now back online and working properly. If you see any problems with the sites, please contact us and let us know what is happening. Now that the site is working, we expect to have extremely heavy traffic while our visitors get caught up on their shopping. Thank you for your patience during this emergency rebuild.

  • 01/3/05: We are happy to announce that we have updated our "ad response" and "email a friend" emails to the HTML email format which provides a cleaner, more professional ad response and a copy of the ad's thumbnail if it is a photo ad. This has been updated on both DreamHorse and TackTrader. We will be working on updating other automated emails sent by our site in the near future.
