For sale: Promise, a lovely chestnut Morgan / Quarter Horse cross mare, ~ 15.1hh+. Probably born 2010. Located near Detroit, Michigan. Asking $5,500, negotiable. Clips, bathes, loads, goes barefoot. Up to date on shots, Coggins, worming etc. No known health issues; we've had none since we purchased her. Currently showing training level dressage and schooling to show 1st level soon. This video is from her last schooling show, USDF Training Level Test 3, September 8, 2019. Before my mom purchased Promise in spring '18, she was being ridden in Western as well as competing in English jumping, so she has had a broad range of experiences. Perhaps she would be a great Western dressage horse! Call Gabe at (313) 884-9090 to learn more or schedule a visit.
~~Promise is a very fast learner, thinking through new things, and I can usually teach her something new within a day or a week! Her body is naturally flexible, and she will be a fun horse to teach up through dressage levels, if that is what her new owner pursues. In addition to what I've described above, we are already starting the beginnings of some 2nd level movements. I think she would also do well as an easygoing horse for those who may just want an occasional pleasure ride. She's sweet and loves people, attention, petting --- she's very responsive to those around her. She would be happiest with a gentle, fluid, and steady rider. She competed in jumping and with children aboard before purchase; however I'm a dressage rider, so since I began working with her in Jan '19, that's what I've done -- improving her balance, strength, and flexibility.
~~See my previous video to see some outdoor training from back in June 2019, receiving a bath in cross ties, etc.
