He stands 15 hands tall and weighs 1,053 pounds. He has a stocky, quarter-
horse type build with a gorgeous, naturally curly, super-thick white
mane and tail. He has 4 solid black hooves with no white anywhere on
him. And, this two-time Reserve World Champion horse is as talented
as he is beautiful.
Rocky’s sire is “Sunrise’s Golden Image”, the 2000 Missouri Foxtrotting
Horse Breed Association’s (MFTHBA) Amateur Three Year Old Futurity
Champion. “Image” is currently the MFTHBA’s second highest rated
breeding stallion, and has been recognized by the breed as a “Top 5
Breeding Stallion” for the past 5 years, consecutively.
Rocky’s dam is “Jester’s Playgirl M.”, the 2004 MFTHBA Amateur Three
Year Old Futurity Champion. Rocky was bred to be a natural foxtrotting
Rocky made his show debut at the 2019 MFTHBA Show and
Celebration. He was shown in the Open English Pleasure and Open
Western Pleasure classes (each having 12-16 entries per class), and won
the titles of Reserve World Champion in each respective class. Rocky’s
show potential is extremely evident as he spent only one month in
professional training in preparation for the Show and Celebration, and
won two Reserve World Championships. Rocky’s calm, laid-back
personality and gentle disposition was on display in the Leadline class
at the 2019 Show and Celebration, as he was being shown by a 2 year
old boy.
While Rocky has abundant show potential, he shines brightest while on
the trail. He has proven to be an extremely calm, sure-footed, safe,
common-sense trail horse. The majority of his time under saddle has

been spent on the trails in the Mark Twain National Forest. He’s been
extensively exposed to rough trails including steep, rocky hillsides and
rough terrain. He crosses logs, creeks, puddles, ditches, rivers, and has
experience with trail obstacles. Rocky is just as happy leading the trail
as he is in the middle or bringing up the rear. He can be ridden away
from the trail, and away from the other horses with no problems. He
will also ride away from home with the same demeanor as when he’s
riding back home. We own property that adjoins the National Forest
and we frequently trail ride, as well as host friends to trail ride. Rocky
has been ridden on the trails by varying levels of experienced riders.
From the novice rider to riders that have never before sat on a horse,
Rocky has given them a wonderful trail riding experience by being safe,
smart, sure-footed, and calm. His easy-going nature makes even the
most inexperienced rider feel comfortable and at ease. All that have
ridden him have loved his personality and disposition, and that he loves
to snack on horse treats.
