The Flying Burrito aka “Rito” is the sweetest pony you will ever meet! Rito is a 9 year old gelding who stands 13.3 hands tall. Midland Farm rescued him from a kill pen in LA.
Rito is now walking, trotting, and cantering confidently under saddle. He will walk, trot, and canter over poles and small x-rails. Rito is still green over fences to no fault of his own but my lack of time. However He will be showing April 2021 with one of my junior riders and price will increase once he’s proven himself in hunter ring. Rito lunges both with or without side reins perfectly and has also been ground driven. Rito has wonderful ground manners: cross ties, stands tied for the farrier, clips and bathes. Rito is an easy keeper and kept barefoot. His gaits are smooth, easy to ride as if he were a larger horse. This pony is brave and has never offered to misbehave. I think Rito would be great for a junior rider or small adult amateur that is in a training program to finish him out correctly. Rito would even be great for a professional that wants a project. Rito is up to date on vaccinations, coggins, teeth, and on a routine working schedule.
